Events
How to join our riding events?
The process involves two steps:
1: Sign up for the event
To sign up, contact the host of the event directly. We provide the links to the organizers for each event in the description. On their website, you can register and/or pay the fee.
2: Lease a horse
This is where we come in, and you do that right here! Click on the event below that you are interested in, and add a horse to your cart. Check out. Arrive to the event and your tacked up mount will be there waiting for you.
Important to note
If you are riding with us for the first time, please fill out our riding ability form and waiver. To participate in hunting, hunter paces, and other high-risk events, a riding ability of Experienced or above is required.
We bring experienced lease horses to these riding events:
Trail ride at Landsman Kill in Rhinebeck
Ride at your own pace on marked trails that cover Northern Dutchess County. First riders out at 9 am, last riders out by 11:30 am, followed by a picnic lunch including beverages. Lease a horse for this ride. To register, contact Paula Vincitore at falltrailride@lkta.org or 845-240-4299.
Cross country schooling with Ericka Rose
Join us for an exciting day of XC training with Galloping Guru, Ericka Rose. We will tackle a variety of terrain and jumping obstacles that are part of the fall Wethersfield Hunter Pace. This is a great time to come out and take your favorite jumps with some instruction. Maybe even try a more advanced horse ahead of your next pace!
Cross country schooling with Ericka Rose at CS&W Farms
This is a unique training opportunity for a cross country schooling lesson with Galloping Guru, Ericka Rose. Cross country jumping is an important skill for those of you wanting to experience a full season of foxhunting.
